“I believe so completely in the idea of a improving the way we build and live that instead of trying to buy a home, I put my money where my mouth was - into this business. A home of my own remains out of reach but I’d be happy to rent in perpetuity if I can accomplish this goal: Encourage better construction practices and prove the economic case of living green. If I succeed, healthy and efficient homes will be so commonplace that even landlords will make their rentals cozy and well designed purely due to convenience and economics. Slum Lords, urban sprawl and McMansions will cease to exist. Our culture will see the light about what comprises healthy homes and my work will be done. I will live in an affordable downtown home within walking distance of work, green space, and recreation and live happily ever after.” Read more about this contributor.
